Assists with visa processing and other travel related documentation. Additionally, Travel Coordinator ensures that travel needs are met within the constraints of the company travel budget. May coordinate with outside travel agencies. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Travel Coordinator works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Performs administrative sales and office sales support for Director of Operations and group travel planners.
Duties include but not limited to: following up with potential MS/HS Bands, Choirs, Orchestras and senior class trip clients and making/fielding phone calls, creating proposals and sample itineraries to potential clients, word processing, data entry, filing and faxing. Microsoft Office knowledge required (Word, Excel, etc.), as well as internet research abilities and strong communication skills. Assist with overflow work from travel consultants. Background in hospitality/sales and guest services a plus.
