High-level responsibilities include supporting the payroll team new hire on-boarding process, payroll processing validations, research for escalated payroll inquiries, payroll reporting, and processing for terminations / off-cycle payments.
This position collaborates extensively with external payroll vendors, internal project teams, and regional / global payroll teams.
ResponsibilitiesWill be the back-up support for US and Canadian Payroll Specialists and help ensure payroll transactions are in compliance with payroll policies as well as statutory requirements.
Will help support escalation tickets submitted to both the US and Canada teams.Will act as dual support for timekeeping and gross-to-net reconciliations and validations during the payroll process.
Creates and maintains an environment in which accurate and timely information is provided to our internal and external customers with attentiveness, patience, and clear communication skills.
Maintains an understanding of timekeeping and pay calculation rules for active and terminated employees in all 50 states while taking federal, state, and local laws governing payroll processing into consideration.
Assists payroll management in the effective oversight of the payroll process including thorough validation of the timekeeping and payroll process to ensure accuracy in employee payments and governmental filings.
Assists with gathering information for internal / external audits.Assists payroll team in completing complex tasks and research.
