Function: Transportation Manager is to oversee all outbound transportation shifts and fleet coordination at our Stoughton, MA Distribution Center. Reporting to the SSG Transportation Group Manager and CDC Director. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee all facets of the dispatch department, including a team of dispatch professionals
• Ensure route and opportunity optimization 
• Monitor GPS safety dashboard and hold safety meetings with drivers
• Coordinate and document maintenance of all service vehicles to keep trucks operational 
• Oversee schedule routes daily to meet recurring customer services 
• Manager the dispatch and customer service teams to provide support to deliveries and drivers 
• Monitor and implement processes and procedures 
• Monitor GPS safety dashboard and hold safety meetings with drivers 
• Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to leadership
• Assessing and reporting on the efficiency of transportation activities and staff performance
• Monitoring schedules, prioritizing manpower, and overseeing projects 
• Cultivation departmental success through effective team/individual metrics and staff meetings 
• Training and continuously developing supervisors and lead employees 
• Implementing and enforcing standard operating procedures and policies
• Supporting the Central Distribution Center team to optimize customer service, accuracy, and operational efficiency
• Additional managing duties as assigned by leadership

Qualification: 

• Over 10 years of supervisory experience or its equivalent 
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with Process Improvement methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer programs
• Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency 
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced, competitive environment
• Exceptional leadership skills with conflict resolution abilities 
• Flexibility in work hours (2nd and 3rd shifts may be required)
