Transportation Manager manages and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Manager monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Manager manages relations with transportation providers to ensure the achievement of required service levels. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Transportation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Class A drivers (including recent graduates that need training) run regionally, get home every two weeks for 48 hour reset with account that is 95% no touch with mostly drop and hook. This job is ONLY hiring out of CA and can live anywhere in the state of CA
All freight is dry van and you will run the western US. Experienced drivers can have rider and pet from day one – if you are a trainee you can have rider and pet once you are done with training – you can not have during training. Training is 250-300 Hours behind the week.
Running area is western US with vast majority of the freight being WY, MT, ID, CO, UT, NV, CA, OR and WA
CAN NOT HIRE ANY DRIVERS WHO HAVE EVER FAILED OR REFUSED A DOT DRUG TEST REGARDLESS OF HOW LONG IT WAS
To qualify you must have a valid Class A CDL:
Trainees must be willing to run OTR for training period due to lack of trainers on this account.

NO DUI in the last 5 years in commercial vehicle and may never have failed a DOT or refused a drug alcohol
