Transportation Manager jobs in Peabody, MA

We are looking for an experienced fleet manager to oversee all aspects of our equipment repair, maintenance , safety, telematics, and ELD programs at our Boston based trucking and integrated logistics operation. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years in transportation and logistics and possess strong customer service and management skills, with a focus on oversight of all vendor relationships and related invoice approval.

The ideal candidate will be able to cross train across multiple departments to enable further growth within the company. In addition, this position requires experience with TMS, ELD, and driver telematics systems.

The work responsibilities include, amongst others:

-Manage fleet equipment including trailers, chassis, and tractors and coordinate and schedule all related service.

-Communicating with drivers and customers to update availability of trailers/containers

-Strong experience in intermodal and truckload dispatch and ability to work alongside our dispatch team

-Demonstrated experience with international and domestic logistics

This position requires STRONG attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
