Transportation Manager manages and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Manager monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Manager manages relations with transportation providers to ensure the achievement of required service levels. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Transportation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Transportation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Class A drivers run regionally, getting home every week dry van 95% no touch & 85% Drop n Hook Freight. Areas running WA, OR, ID, WY, MT, NV and Northern CA
Drivers' pay is based on experience and fleet average is $67-$73K/Yr with a guaranteed minimum of $1060. Drivers are paid a $500 bonus after they drop their second load.

Must be 22 years old with
6 months regional or OTR in the last 7 months OR
9 months regional or OTR in the last 12 months OR
12 months regional or OTR in the last 3 years
No serious moving violations in the last 3 years such as following too closely, reckless careless, etc
May not have more than two moving violations of any kind in the last 12 months
No DOT Recordable Preventable in the last 3 years
No DUI in PMV in the last five years and none ever in a CMV – will NOT accept SAP
