Transportation Manager manages and coordinates the daily operations of a transportation network including safety, compliance, equipment, and staff. Implements operational policies and procedures to ensure safety and efficiency in all transportation activities. Being a Transportation Manager monitors transportation costs, service level agreements, and performance metrics to identify and resolve problems and achieve efficiencies. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to meet forecasted capacity needs. Additionally, Transportation Manager manages relations with transportation providers to ensure the achievement of required service levels. Requires a bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Transportation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Transportation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Class A drivers – including recent grads – run dedicated 100% no touch with average pay of $1300-$1500/WK
This is reefer freight running the eastern US. Drivers (even during training) are home every two weeks for 48 hours.
During training drivers MAY run OTR and are paid $700/WK. In order to be done with training must run 250-300 HPW. This is a great run for trainees expesically as you will get lots of miles, get done with training fast and make $1300/WK once you start.

Running area is AL, AR, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MD, MI, MS, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, VA and WI. Will hire in all these locations EXCEPT will not hire trainees out of FL.
Requirements:
NO DUI in the last 5 years in commercial vehicle and may never have failed a DOT or refused a drug alcohol
