Qualifications:

Required:

• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Preferred:

• Bachelor s degree preferred.
• Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) certification preferred.
• Experience in renal dialysis and /or transplantation preferred.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (must seek and maintain)
• Phlebotomy certification (must seek and maintain)

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-time
• 37.5 hrs weekly
• Days - Monday-Friday 8am to 4pm
• No weekends or major holidays
• No overnight or weekend on-call

Essential Functions:
Coordinates all aspects of the evaluation/listing process for deceased donor and living donor transplantation for Chronic Kidney Disease patients. Coordinates organ procurement with the New Jersey Sharing Network through shared on-call responsibility. Acts as liaison between Saint Barnabas and all referring dialysis centers and referring MDs. Ensures continuity of care through effective communication and collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team in all areas of the transplant department. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment. 100% of job responsibilities are pre-transplant no time study is required.
