Transplant Nurse Coordinator provides planning and coordination of all facets of clinical care for potential and actual transplant candidates and recipients. Manages referral, evaluation, and pre-transplant data for transplant patients and coordinates the clinical management of post-transplant patients. Being a Transplant Nurse Coordinator develops materials and delivers programs to educate and support patients, families, and clinicians throughout the transplant process. Requires clinical experience in the care and treatment of transplant patients. Additionally, Transplant Nurse Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree of Nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Requires registered nurse (RN). May require certification from a professional organ transplant nursing certification board. The Transplant Nurse Coordinator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. LPN will be triaging patients, collecting urine drug screens, prefer lab experience as we complete labs in clinic.
M-Th 7:00am to 6:00pm.
4x10 hour shifts
Rooms patients.
*Takes and records vital signs.
*Screens patients according to Cherokee Nation's policies.
*Orders lab and x-rays according to Cherokee Nation's policies and sanding orders.
*Administers medications, immunizations, and treatments according to standing orders, and/or provider orders
*Operates a variety of medical equipment.
*Documents observations, referrals and nursing interventions according to CN documentation standards.
*Assists the provider with diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures and exams.
*Provides patient education and self-management support.
*Obtains lab specimens as needed.
*Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities using the Model for Improvement.
*Participates as part of the care team.
Requirements-
Schedule: 4x10 hr shifts, 40 hours a week
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience
Must possess a valid Oklahoma Practical Nurse's License
Certs: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Attire: Navy Blue Scrubs
Ability to work with Peds patients.
Good written and verbal communication skills
Meet pre-employment credentialing clearances (Background Check and Drug Screen)
Ability to meet physical demands (stand; walk; sit; climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl), and lift up to 50lbs
