Translator translates written and spoken information from one language to another. Reads, comprehends, and rewrites materials in designated languages following established linguistic rules related to word meanings, sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. Being a Translator must be well versed in vocabulary dealing with specialty. Must follow ethical procedures and policies that protect the confidentiality of information. Additionally, Translator may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Translator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. POSITION SUMMARY: To bridge the gap between English and Spanish languages. Interpret spoken words into and from both languages. Convert written material from one language to another.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Successfully complete a physical exam and TB skin test before beginning employment and every three years thereafter.
3. Related translation or interpreter field of study, or equivalent experience.
4. Submit to and pass standard criminal history check.
5. Submit to and pass standard drug screen test upon request.
6. Successfully complete a physical exam, TB skin test.
