Translator translates written and spoken information from one language to another. Reads, comprehends, and rewrites materials in designated languages following established linguistic rules related to word meanings, sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. Being a Translator must be well versed in vocabulary dealing with specialty. Must follow ethical procedures and policies that protect the confidentiality of information. Additionally, Translator may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Translator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • Nuance Languages is seeking professional interpreters with proven experience. Accompany patients to doctor visits, help them fill out forms and act as the interpreter between doctor and patient. The interpreter is responsible for their own transportation.

    Interpreter must be bilingual in English and KOREAN.

    The interpreter must:

    • Render correct concepts and meanings according to the conventions of established interpretation protocol
    • Provide clear and accurate renditions with no additions or omissions
    • Employ good customer service and clear enunciation, pronunciation, pleasant and professional voice as well as polite forms of expression
    • Follow client’s instructions, manage the flow of the communication and avoid taking over the communication, as well as avoid interaction with the Limited English proficiency speaker without client's permission
    • Understand protocol and terminology in the healthcare industry
    • Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the assignment at all times
    • Have access to the Internet or work related electronic communication
    • Provide clarification and cultural brokering using excellent judgment and skill
    • Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity and working in a diverse environment'
