Reads, comprehends, and rewrites materials in designated languages following established linguistic rules related to word meanings, sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. Being a Translator must be well versed in vocabulary dealing with specialty. Must follow ethical procedures and policies that protect the confidentiality of information. Additionally, Translator may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Translator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Foreign Language Translators in MULTIPLE LOCATIONS ACROSS THE US. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full range of activities in processing material or participating in situations requiring advanced capability to perform translation, transcription and interpretation tasks in support of the customer.
Prepare an English translation from a variety of foreign language source exhibits including, but not limited to, video and audio cassette recorded conversations, facsimile documents as well as written and typed materials such as legal documents, diaries, computerized files, personal papers, maps, charts, ledgers, emails and notes.
Must be able to obtain a US government security clearance
