Summary:

THE LANGUAGE PARTNERS located in Portland Maine is currently in need of LANGUAGE INTERPRETERS. Language Partners has been working with community partners by providing Quality Language Interpreters and Translation Services.
As we continue growing there is a high need for the following lanuages:

• 1. Kinyarwanda
• 2. Arabic
• 3. Kirundi
• 4. French
• 5. Portuguese
• 6. Lingala

Responsibilities:

• Interpret between English and (applicable) language.
• Maintain professionalism through attitude and interpreting services.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service
• Must have reliable transportation for onsite appointments, and a reliable phone, internet connection and a quiet work environment for virtual appointments.

Qualification:

• Proficient in English and (applicable) languages in both written and spoken forms.
• Proficient in basic computer skill including but not limited emails, scheduling system, zoom, Microsoft teams and etc.
• Minimum a high school diploma or equivalent
• Certifications are not required but desirable such as CMI, CHI, CCHI, NBCMI Court Certification and/or Interpreting certificate from an interpreting school

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
