Reads, comprehends, and rewrites materials in designated languages following established linguistic rules related to word meanings, sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation. Being a Translator must be well versed in vocabulary dealing with specialty. Must follow ethical procedures and policies that protect the confidentiality of information. Additionally, Translator may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Translator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • JOB PURPOSE: To perform translations as needed to support Bruss North America and maintain document control system; to include translations for employees, documents, processes, and procedures. May assist in providing training on assembly and production processes at workstations and ensure employees are certified to Bruss standards in both English and Spanish.

    AUTHORITY: The authority to train employees following Bruss standards. Responsible for ensuring that trainees are producing a high-quality product, and producing quality and environmental reporting, and production documentation.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

    • Must be proficient in both English and Spanish
    • Helps support translation of training materials as needed
    • Must be competent in the efficient operation of machinery such as ovens, injection mold press, trimmers, greasers, bead apply machines, welding machines, bolt machines, etc. to include elimination of pollution.
    • Must be competent on inspection of finished product within multiple work cells
    • Must be competent on inspecting and measuring machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
    • Report situations that may negatively affect the environment or cause pollution.
    • Assists in training assembly and production employees at their workstations
    • Attends orientations, meetings, trainings as required to translate for Spanish-speaking employees
    • Assists in the document control process to ensure all documents are fully translated into Spanish
    • Assists staff in translations with current employees, candidates, visitors, and previous employees as needed (queries, corrective actions, interviews, etc.)
    • Responsible for weekly report outs of translation progress
    • Responsible for working all hours required to support production needs, projects, and customer demands, including daily or weekend overtime when deemed necessary and appropriate
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Proofread translated materials for accuracy and quality assurance
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in translations
    • Effectively perform any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary and appropriate.

    QUALIFICATION
    An energetic individual with appropriate industry experience. Must have the ability to coach, train and show facilitation skills toward employees of all levels. Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Proven skills working with cross-functional teams. An understanding of the Bruss organization and standards. Must be proficient in multiple manufacturing processes and procedures.
