    Overall Role & Responsibility: The role of the Collaboration and Training Specialist is to facilitate, promote and coordinate partners to effectively address community issues through collaboration, improve access to resources, and facilitate training opportunities on American Indian reservations. Primary responsibilities include implementation of partner collaboration services, Long Term Solutions (LTS) projects and integrated training programs, inclusive of assessment, plan of action development, facilitation, tracking, and day to day operations.

    Essential Functions:

    · Gain a comprehensive understanding of PWNA's service option LTS and Materials Services (MS), and the issues this programming addresses for tribal partners.

    · Communicate with team members, partners, contractors, and vendors using Indigenous values of Respect, Wisdom, Generosity and Humility.

    · Recruit, retain and motivate partner programs while recognizing and addressing their concerns and needs without over committing PWNA resources and support.

    · Effectively present information in a clear manner, respond to questions, and exhibit strong partnership building skills.

    · Implement current and future LTS projects using aligning with the PWNA mission and vision statements and appropriate grantor/funder goals and objectives. PWNA documentation, logic models, and strategic planning processes will be followed.

    · Organize, facilitate, and convene focus or collaborative groups on selected reservations and areas.

    · Provide leadership and coordination of collaborative services and training with attention to detail and organization.

    · Identify and coordinate training with both on and off reservation institutions. Recruit and secure trainers with a high level of tribal knowledge and adult learning styles.

    · Determine the development needs of partners/funders and effectively match the training modality to partner or funding requests.

    · Track collaborative and training progress and follow up with project funders or program partners to ensure completion of plans of action.

    · Thoroughly communicate all online training, institutional training and online library resources to project funders or program partners.

    · Build, develop, and administer incentive and leadership training programs to encourage reservation self-determination.

    · Work with grants or project funders.

    Secondary Functions:

    · Participate in service activities, as required.

    · Monitor, report, and control expenses.

    · Provide required reports and any supporting documentation to the Program Manager of LTS/ Director

    · Other duties as assigned by Program Manager/ Director

    Work Conditions:

    · Monday–Thursday, 7:00 am -5:00 pm.

    · Weekend work is infrequently necessary to meet the needs of the partners’ schedules.

    · Work is performed under the broad direction of the Programs Manager/ Director with most work performed independently.

    · Extensive travel required.


    Requirements:

    Education/Experience Required:

    · Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of three years related experience in networking, facilitation management or community development.

    · Work experience on American Indian reservations preferred

    Job Skills Required:

    · Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in writing and to speak effectively before groups

    · Ability to read and interpret budgets and strong general mathematical skills

    · Strong interpersonal, facilitation and listening skills.

    · Team player: Balance team and individual responsibilities; give and welcome feedback; contribute to a positive team spirit and provide flexibility to help one another as schedules and projects necessitate collaboration.

    · Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and database applications for accounting, human resource/payroll and project management.

    · Comprehensive knowledge of standard office practices, technology, equipment, and techniques.

    · Ability to lift 50 lbs

    · Project & case management skills from assessment to implementation.

    · Support a asset based community development (ABCD) method in partnerships.

    · Instructor/trainer: able to lead and assist in capacity building activities.
