DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
UCOP Human Resources is dedicated to serving and supporting staff, and to building a work environment where employees feel involved and empowered to offer their best. Our HR Business Partners are assigned by department and provide guidance regarding all local HR services. Other staff units cover benefits, disability and leave, talent acquisition and employment, learning and development, and compensation.
POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinates and facilitates training programs for employees at University of California Office of the President. Uses professional training concepts and applies organization policies, procedures and programs to address training needs among various functions and departments. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinates learning and development programs and courses, including logistics, scheduling, and marketing and communication.
2. Contributes to content curation and class development by the Learning and Development team.
3. Collaborates with Learning and Development team members and stakeholders to develop presentation materials, job aides, and facilitator guides.
4. Supports administration of the learning management system, class surveys, and training attendance.
5. Provides technical support for in person and virtual learning.
6. Works with external vendors to support contracts, scheduling, payment, and logistical support.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in related area and 2 years' experience and / or 6 years equivalent experience / training
Knowledge Skills
1. Working knowledge of functional area and understanding of how training may impact other areas.
2. Working knowledge of delivering training programs.
3. Familiar with current training programs and trends.
4. Administrative and coordination skills.
5. Good analytical skills to understand how business needs can be addressed through the design and delivery of training programs.
6. Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
7. Working knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Proven ability to manage multiple, complex assignments and assess priorities while delivering high quality results
Past experience with administrative and coordination responsibilities
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with all levels of employees
Ability to learn new technology
Preferred:
Prior experience utilizing a Learning Management System
- 2 years of relevant experience in learning programs
Experience editing text content in Wordpress
- Experience in virtual learning logistics and facilitation
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary: The recommended hiring range is $74,000.00 to $84,600.00. Commensurate with experience.
