Training Center Manager manages all operational activities of the training center including staffing, facilities, and coordination with vendors and suppliers. Develops corporate training center strategies and initiatives that reflect the organizations goals. Being a Training Center Manager prepares business plans that support the operation of the center and adhere to budget. May collaborate with educational institutions to provide additional or specialized training. Additionally, Training Center Manager may be responsible for supervising trainers and instructors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Training Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. This position is Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week.
The starting wage is $22.00/HR, with benefits after 90 days.
This position requires the ability to work with a diverse refugee and immigrant population. The ability to plan and implement marketing plans to recruit individuals for our training programs, and assist participants to find employment that pays a livable wage and offers the opportunity of advancement and wage progression. This position also requires assisting low-income U.S. citizens, refugees, and immigrants in need to access services through one-on-one comprehensive case management by engaging in barrier removal goals with participants. Maintain close contact with participants through weekly follow up on employment and career goals.
This position also requires working with refugee youth between the ages of 18-24, through our youth mentoring program. Some of the activities under this program include assisting the youth in meeting individual needs and goals. This could mean referring the youth to certain educational or vocational services, social services, or other activities.
The position required excellent organizational and record keeping skills for program auditing.
