Training Center Manager manages all operational activities of the training center including staffing, facilities, and coordination with vendors and suppliers. Develops corporate training center strategies and initiatives that reflect the organizations goals. Being a Training Center Manager prepares business plans that support the operation of the center and adhere to budget. May collaborate with educational institutions to provide additional or specialized training. Additionally, Training Center Manager may be responsible for supervising trainers and instructors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Training Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Training Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Our Meridian team is searching for a patient, detail oriented, and enthusiastic Center Training Manager (Training and Development Manager) to join our center level management team. The Center Training Manager will work onsite in our Meridian donation center and will collaborate directly with the Center Director and Quality Assurance Manager to deliver world class training to center employees. They will also assist the corporate training team in developing and maintaining employee training based on the center’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other operating guidelines. This position plays a huge role in making new team members feel welcome and set up for success starting on the new team member’s first day.

    Requirements

    Role and Responsibilities: 

    • Consistently demonstrate the company’s Core Values while working with Proesis Biologics employees, plasma donors, and external visitors to the Donor Center
    • Monitor the center employees training progress using the Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Manage and maintain the Donor Center’s Training Profile, including employee certification, licensure, and ongoing development
    • Maintain all documentation relevant to training and employee development within the Donor Center
    • Notify Center Management and Center Staff of ongoing training requirements and ensure timely completion of training assignments
    • Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing Trainers assigned to delivering training for new/existing employees 
    • Communicate and collaborate with the corporate training team to ensure a smooth and successful training process

    Qualifications and Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred; in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 5 years of experience leading training in a cGMP production environment
    • Available to work flexible and/or extended shifts as needed by Center Management
    • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours
    • Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, excellent communication, and organizational skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work with computer-based applications and software. 
    • This position may require up to 25% travel

    Physical Demands: 

    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
    • Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
    • The employee may be required to enter an environment with temperatures lower than -25°C for short periods of time. 
    • Ability to push, tug, lift, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
    • Be able to bend, stoop or kneel.
    • Specific vision and hearing abilities are required to be successful within the role
