Training Assistant is responsible for clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of training and organizational development programs. Schedules training events, coordinates with instructors, obtains and distributes required instructional materials, and communicates schedules and details. Being a Training Assistant processes enrollments and answers routine inquiries regarding courses, schedules, and locations. Uses an information system or database to enter data and produce reports on training statistics, inventory levels or assessments of the programs and instructors. Additionally, Training Assistant coordinates additional services including technical equipment, meals and refreshments, housekeeping, maintenance or repairs. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Training Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job responsibilities: Responsible for conducting direct recruiting activities, and interfacing with other outreach contractors in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential functions:
- Conduct direct recruitment activities, including public speaking, develop linkage with referral sources such as human services agencies, recreation centers, youth organizations, local high schools, one-stops, and churches, participate in center tours, and contact potential enrollees to explore enrollment.
- Prepare, schedule, and provide outreach presentations in the assigned area in support of the regional outreach efforts.
- Assist with leading tours, follow on all attendees with an email, text message or phone call.
- Conduct a tour survey and communicate with supervisor and the center to follow up.
- Prepare necessary and required reports related to the recruitment and retention efforts.
- Participate and promote student employability programs and activities.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including public speaking required.
- A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
