Job Traffic Control Supervisor Job Description:
TCSs play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of traffic control operations. This position involves advanced responsibilities, requiring strong leadership skills and expertise in traffic management. TCSs are responsible for overseeing a crew of 2 to 5 people, ensuring the proper setup and maintenance of work sites in accordance with Traffic Control Plans (TCP).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Traffic Control Site Management:
-Set up and maintain work sites following approved Traffic Control Plans (TCP).
-Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are strictly adhered to.
-Oversee the placement and functionality of traffic control devices, signage, and other safety equipment.
2. Crew Supervision:
-Be responsible for a crew of 2 to 5 individuals.
-Ensure all crew members are professional, wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Confirm that all crew members possess and carry necessary certifications.
-Provide guidance and support to the crew to enhance overall performance.
3. Equipment Management:
-Take accountability for all company equipment and signage on the job site.
-Conduct thorough equipment Check Out and Check In procedures.
-Ensure the proper functioning, maintenance, and cleanliness of company vehicles. This includes cleaning/washing assigned truck weekly at a minimum.
4. Customer Interaction:
-Act as the primary point of contact for customer-facing conversations on-site.
- Engage professionally with clients, addressing concerns, and providing necessary information.
-Uphold a positive company image during interactions with clients and the public.
Requirements:
To be eligible for the TCS position, individuals must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a valid driver license and maintain insurability.
-Be capable of safely operating company vehicles, including TMA trucks, tow arrow boards, and PCMS trailers.
-Have a minimum of 6 months of related experience in traffic control operations.
-WA State Flagger’s Certified
-WA State Traffic Control Supervisor Certified
- Punctual, Self-Motivated, Responsible
-Excellent Communication Skills
