Traffic/Rate Analyst jobs in District of Columbia

The objective of this position is to provide the planning, analysis and managing of resources to support emergency response activities with the Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR). Length of deployment is contingent upon response needs and funding.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Experience with ASPR managing and performing required analysis to validate or change, modify, improve and implement plans and procedures for supporting response functions related to COVID response and staffing.
• Facilitates organizational dissemination of findings and resulting recommendations using appropriate techniques.
• Facilitates and takes notes on group briefings and discussions to enable the development of plans and other decisions.
• Provide administrative support, including personnel onboarding and accountability, resource tracking, travel coordination, and maintenance of schedules.
• Prefer experience analyzing data, creating data visualizations, and providing high level analyst notes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree and 3 years’ experience
• This position requires the candidate to provide data entry; possess excellent computer skills; oral and written communication skills; able to analyze data; be a quick learner and able to operate in a fast paced and elevated stressful environment.
• Must be comfortable with Microsoft Suite of products to include but not limited to Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint (preferred given to experience with SharePoint and Teams integration/automation and some coding experience).
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required

Minimum Qualifications:

• The candidate shall work either a standard eight (8) hour shift or twelve-hour shifts (from either 0800-2000 hours or 2000-0800 hours)
• Ability to work up to 12 hours a day (AM or PM shift will be assigned), up to 7 days a week, depending on emergency response needs
• Ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week and/or to adjust normally scheduled hours, which may include evening and weekends
• The candidate must be able to work a day or night shift as assigned
• The candidate may work a rotating schedule that will incur overtime
• Prior experience in supply chain management, medical logistics, data analytics or emergency response preferred
• Basic understanding of the National Response Framework (ESF #8) and National Incident Management System (NIMS) preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding information accessed or discussed while performing the duties of the position
• Must have strong organizational, analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
