    Position: Operations Manager

    Location: Sutter, California

    Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually

    Position Summary: The Operations Manager is a key leadership role responsible for managing the daily operations of our crews and equipment. This includes on-site employee training to support our customers and overseeing the day-to-day activities of a branch. The role demands a balance between meeting corporate objectives, fulfilling customer needs, and efficiently utilizing local resources.

    Responsibilities:

    • Direct management of crews and equipment across various locations, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
    • Maintain effective communication with municipalities and customers, managing project notifications, permits, and compliance with regulations.
    • Exercise problem-solving skills and independent decision-making.
    • Develop and manage employee schedules, oversee project staffing, and ensure timely completion of administrative tasks.
    • Plan and execute projects cost-effectively while adhering to safety and compliance standards, including DOT regulations.
    • Be available on-call, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
    • Travel as required for project oversight and management.

    • Excellent communication abilities and a track record of successful customer and municipal engagements.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Thorough understanding of state specifications for devices and materials in states where assigned branches are located.
    • Industry involvement through trade associations, coalitions with state DOT, or similar.
    • Highly experienced in MS Excel and Word
    • Computer training will be required for Viewpoint
    • Understanding of financial statements including balance sheet and profit & loss statement

    Education and Experience

    • BS in Construction Management, Engineering or related field, preferred.
    • Minimum of 15 years traffic control and safety experience including crew work and industry formal training.
    • Minimum of 8 years supervisory or management experience.
