Traffic Director jobs in New Hampshire

Traffic Director leads and directs the traffic department to efficiently and safely move materials and products to designated destinations. Develops and maintains transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency and minimize delivery costs. Being a Traffic Director evaluates and selects appropriate transportation carriers and routes. Resolves delivery issues for both internal and external customers. Additionally, Traffic Director monitors, analyzes, and reviews loss and damage claims and makes recommendations for improved safety. Oversees costs and processes to adhere to budgets. Ensures compliance with all DOT/OSHA guidelines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Traffic Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Traffic Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Traffic Control Agents control vehicle flow to build a safe environment for construction/repair projects that involve roadways or parking lots. As a Traffic Control Agent, you would help notify drivers of the need for reduced speeds or restricted lane flow. As such, Traffic Control Agents/Flaggers play a vital role in crafting and maintaining a safe work site.

    Stone Bridge Traffic Control is currently hiring Traffic Control Agents in the Greater Plymouth area. Join our team and start your new career in a growing industry with great benefits. This is an entry-level position; no previous work experience is required! We will provide you with all the tools and training.

    Schedule: Monday - Friday

    Pay Rate: $18.50 - $20.00/hr

    Responsibilities:

    • Working with the construction team to establish a safe movement of traffic around the construction zone, in accordance with safety regulations.
    • Flagging motorists to warn them of obstacles or repair work ahead.
    • Taking ownership of keeping the work zone and passing cars safe at all times.
    • May need to place signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices- duties will vary according to job assignment.
    • Directing traffic flow using Department of Transportation regulations

    Requirements:

    • Must be 18 years old
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Reliable vehicle
    • Smartphone
    • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
    • Communication skills required - flaggers remain in constant contact with the crew.
    • Able to remain in a stationary position for long periods at a time.
    • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
