Traffic Director leads and directs the traffic department to efficiently and safely move materials and products to designated destinations. Develops and maintains transportation and distribution procedures to maximize delivery efficiency and minimize delivery costs. Being a Traffic Director evaluates and selects appropriate transportation carriers and routes. Resolves delivery issues for both internal and external customers. Additionally, Traffic Director monitors, analyzes, and reviews loss and damage claims and makes recommendations for improved safety. Oversees costs and processes to adhere to budgets. Ensures compliance with all DOT/OSHA guidelines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Traffic Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Traffic Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Position Summary:

    The Account Manager is responsible for existing key customer accounts and development of new customers in a given territory. The Account Manager must build and maintain a strong relationship with the customer. They will be the lead point of contact for all key customer matters, anticipate the customer's needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the customer are met, and help the customer succeed. The account manager will be responsible for growing existing accounts as well as developing & attracting potential new customers. Customers will exist primarily in utility, engineering & railroad industries that require traffic control, traffic safety, traffic direction and related equipment and services. This position will collaborate closely with the Director of Business Development, District Vice Presidents, Operations Directors and Branch Managers to identify potential targets for growth and coordinate resources.

    All focused on achieving customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term profitably goals in line with Company vision and values.

    Position Requirements

    Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

    • Serve as the principal point of contact with accounts in assigned territory.
    • Demonstrates technical and product knowledge in all areas listed above that allows the individual to conduct effective presentations.
    • Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
    • Complete understanding of service agreements or contracts including pricing, terms, and reporting requirements.
    • Demonstrates the ability to execute a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
    • Develop new business by analyzing account potential; initiating, developing, and closing sales; recommending new applications and solutions.
    • Demonstrates the ability to gather and submit detailed business information for bidding and presentation of solutions to identified prospects' business problems.
    • Lead the sales / operations relationship to ensure customer expectations and services requirements are being met.
    • Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities via SaleForce.
    • Develops, manages, and improves a systematic process to effectively manage key accounts.
    • Adheres to all company policies and Code of Business Ethics and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
    • Follow predetermined cadence for internal & external customer reviews summarizing the health of the partnership including but not limited to YTD/YOY spend, safety metrics and reporting.
    • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
    • Follow-up with customers on open proposals and action items from meetings.
    • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts to leadership.

    • Maintain contact with customers to ensure high levels of Customer Satisfaction.
    • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all levels company employees.

    Position Requirements:

    1. BS/BA degree and a minimum of 5 years with a focus on large territories and/or account management.
    2. Relevant experience - specifically in the industrial scope - Traffic Control, Utility (Electric/Power/Gas) and/or Railroad preferred
    3. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
    4. History of coordinating & maintaining schedule
    5. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    6. Goal-oriented, organized team player
    7. Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
    8. Self-motivated and self-directed
    9. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
    10. In-depth understanding of company key customers and their market drivers
    11. Eager to expand the company with new sales, customers, partners and territories
    12. Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions
    13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person
    14. Basic computer skills, and experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite
    15. Strong negotiation skills, with ability follow-through on customer contracts
    16. Proven results of delivering customer solutions and meeting sales goals
