Traffic Control Technician Responsibilities

• Adhering to all OSHA and ATSSA safety rules and procedures
• Participate in or conduct daily JHA's (Job Hazard Assessments)
• Complete daily operational paperwork accurately
• Proper set up and tear down of work zones and traffic control devices such as signs, cones, etc.
• Having awareness of drivers and monitoring the flow of traffic
• Alerting working crew if there are any safety issues
• Using stop/slow paddles to control traffic
• Cooperation with others such as our client's site leader
• Communication skills such as: interaction with team members, giving alternative routes to members of the public, relaying information to emergency personnel
• Using radios or other communication devices

Minimum Requirements:

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass an MVR check.
• Must be comfortable standing for 8-10 hours a day.
• Must be able to work year round in a wide variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to react quickly in case of errant drivers

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
