Traffic Clerk, Sr. provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk, Sr. contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk, Sr. prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Job Summary
Completes operations of assigned traffic control/safety projects setting up and taking down lane closures and flagging traffic. Able to work in the field on traffic control and in the warehouse for various jobs and prep for jobs. Performs lane closures and flagging traffic on state highways and other roadways. Redirect traffic for workers or survey crews. Work independently or part of a traffic control crew. Assemble, deliver, and pick up safety products from job sites. Flexible hours, early starts and late finishes based on day to day operations. All season position.
