Traffic Clerk, Sr. jobs in Durham, NC

We are looking for a Traffic Controller to join our team in Angier NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing traffic flow in a safe and efficient manner, monitoring traffic conditions, and responding to any emergencies that may arise. The Traffic Controller will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as providing assistance to motorists in need. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to think quickly in order to respond to any traffic-related issues.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor traffic flow and adjust signal timing to maintain efficient traffic flow.
• Respond to emergency situations such as accidents, stalled vehicles, and other incidents that may affect traffic flow.
• Inspect and maintain traffic control devices such as signs, signals, and pavement markings.
• Monitor the performance of traffic control systems and adjust as needed.
• Communicate with other agencies to coordinate traffic control operations.
• Conduct research on traffic patterns and trends.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
