Traffic Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the traffic operations function of an organization. Responsible for all aspects of routing, shipping, logging, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Being a Traffic Clerk contacts transporters for freight pick-up and ensures that cargo is routed appropriately. Communicates changes to routing and timelines. Additionally, Traffic Clerk prepares and processes bills of lading (BOL) and other shipping documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Traffic Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     SALARY GRADE: Flat Rated


    This position is temporary, full-time, and will start on May 1, 2024 and end on September 30, 2024.

    The Office of the Clerk of Superior Court, Henderson County, seeks an individual to answer phones and manage phone traffic; pulling and preparing files for scanning; scanning files and assisting in working through reports for a system change. Candidate must be flexible, able to multi-task and is comfortable with technology.
    The rate of pay is $16.00 per hour unless the applicant has prior experience in a Clerk's Office.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

    Knowledge of: NC general statutes; policies and procedures related to the local judicial district; civil proceedings and the Civil Case Processing System (VCAP); juvenile proceedings; Juvenile Case Tracking/Scheduling System (JWISE); eWarrants; ACIS/Criminal Court Information System (CCIS) and general office and clerical procedures.

    Skills in: basic math; active listening; managing a high volume of public interaction; effectively communicating both verbally and in writing; fast, accurate data entry; and MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    Ability to: read and comprehend legal documents; interact diplomatically with a diverse group of people; multi-task; adjust to unexpected events; meet deadlines; organize and manage files; work independently; maintain confidentiality; and provide procedural information without giving legal advice.


    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements



    High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 18 years of age. Henderson County residents preferred.
