What we are looking for

Connective Capital Management is seeking a Hedge Fund Trader to join our Palo Alto team, managing a diverse portfolio of public equities.

The Trader will maintain responsibility for two key roles — front and middle office. The front office role includes executing the trade orders from the Portfolio Manager and the Research Team. The middle office role includes overseeing the allocation of trades to multiple prime brokers in order to ensure accuracy and timeliness of settlement. As such, attention to detail is a core requirement for this position. This is not a discretionary trading position.

Job Description

• Manage all daily trading-related functions – trading, data records updates, reconciliation, rebalancing, and reporting.
• Work with custodians to execute trades and respond to communication in a timely fashion.
• Proactively and appropriately respond to all issues involving trading-related processes and tools.
• Primary responsibility for oversight, maintaining, and enhancing the trading and investment-related data records.
• Support the Research Team with trading and performance reporting. Generate audit reports, correct data, and review processes for data integrity.

Job Qualifications

• Passion for the market structure, trading function and related investment processes.
• Extremely organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong Excel skills (index/match, pivot tables, array formulas, macros).
• Familiar with programming, specifically using MySQL and Python.
