Summary:
The Corporate Controller works in collaboration with the CFO and department leaders on improving financial success of the company.The Controller position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate and manage risk. The Controller is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. The Controller will also take a lead role in IT system coordination from implementation to enhancements and updates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities but are not limited to:
Management
Treasury functions; bank and vendor relationship management
Responsible for supervision and direction of the accounting team
Risk Management/Compliance
Administrator of Company Insurance policies
Cost & Project Accounting
Oversee Management of cost & project accounting for Company Contracting entities
o Job Cost administration for projects and locations
o Prepare & Analyze project financial performance
o Classification of Project/Location costs & revenues
o Prepare monthly accounting reports for Management use
o Analysis of project margins, completion, & close-out
o Track and determine financial performance by analyzing actual results in comparisons with budgets

Exceptional business acumen; analytical, forecasting, reporting, modeling
Understanding of information systems and the concept of dashboards and business intelligence reporting
Working knowledge of accounting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Prior supervisory experience leading multi-functional teams, preference for multi-location leadership
Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and support business decision making
Physical Demands:

Education and Training:
Strong Microsoft Office Suite knowledge, with the ability to manipulate and develop data into workable models and projections.
Familiarity with accounting ERP software/systems.
Position to be located at either Grand Forks or Fordville, ND with candidate flexibility to travel between locations as needed.
