    POSITION SUMMARY:    

    As Corporate Controller, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing all accounting activities across different Company entities. Your role entails managing day-to-day accounting operations, including financial and cost accounting, as well as accounts payable and receivable. Additionally, you willbe responsible for analyzing, preparing, and reporting GAAP-compliant financial data, maintainingaccurate accounting records, and implementing controls to mitigate risks. 

     

    The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced Controller with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with the executive team, peers, and subordinates. You should possess the drive to lead accounting projects, enhance efficiencies, and promote standardization.     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Direct, coordinate and participate in all accounting and financial operations necessary to prepare monthly consolidated financial statements, closings (monthly, quarterly & annual), cash management, tax filings, line of credit management, tax savings opportunities and other related accounting activities. 
    • Prepare monthly financial reporting package including consolidating balance sheet, consolidating statement of profit and loss, and consolidating statement of cash flows, in accordance with GAAP, and other supplemental reports and analyses in a timely manner. 
    • Review all month‐end closing activities including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations and financials. 
    • Develop financial data necessary for the preparation and evaluation of business plans and annual budgets.  
    • Manage all aspects of the accounts receivable and accounts payable to maintain strong vendor and customer relations. 
    • Maintain the company's Chart of Accounts to properly collect income, cost and expense information for accurate financial reporting and controls of the company's finances.  
    • Direct and manage annual financial audits with external auditors.  
    • Collect and develop information for the timely preparation of tax estimates, tax returns and respective payments to local, state, or federal government of any taxes due.  
    • Ensure that the financial policies and procedures of the company are conducted in a manner consistent with the goals and the objectives of the Company.  
    • Champion and sustain all financial and accounting software systems.  
    • Review, develop and sustain process documentation, creating standard practices and cross-training materials. 
    •  Lead, mentor, and cultivate the professional growth of direct reports and the entire accounting team. 
    • Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operational protocols for the Accounting department and individual team members. 
    • Empower accounting team to proactively identify and implement process improvements within their roles, fostering collaboration across functions and up and down the organizational hierarchy. 
    • Performs other work-related duties and special projects as assigned.  
    • Regular attendance is required for the position. 


    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or another related discipline is required. 
    • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is required.  
    • At least five (5) years of experience as an accounting manager and a minimum of three (3) years as a controller, preferably within a company with annual sales exceeding $50 million. 
    • Possess comprehensive expertise in GAAP, tax regulations, and reporting procedures. 
    • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all accounting functional areas, encompassing accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger management, month-end closing processes, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting. Experience with manufacturing cost accounting is highly preferred. 
    • Proficient in MS Excel, including pivot tables; and MS PowerPoint, with a working knowledge of MS Word.  
    • Proficiency in statistical and analytical methods, utilizing general business math skills.  
    • Language proficiency includes reading, writing, spelling, and clear and concise communication abilities. 
    • Experience with Oracle or similar manufacturing software. Experience with ERP implementation is a plus. 
    • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate employees, assisting them in reaching their fullest potential within the organization and aiding them in achieving their personal goals. 
    • Demonstrate the ability to analyze operations closely and envision the optimal operating structure.
