Trade Show Manager manages the execution and logistics of trade shows and exhibitions to achieve business objectives. Develops and manages a comprehensive event project plan for all setup tasks, promotional items, literature, bookings, and other details. Being a Trade Show Manager approves the design, layout, cost estimates, and construction of exhibits and displays. Negotiates with vendors and service providers for best arrangements within budget. Additionally, Trade Show Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Trade Show Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Trade Show Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.   • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

    • Build and sustain a global trade compliance network of resources and partners to allow the organization to be informed and understand changes in international trade law policies and impact to AHF
    • Act as AHF’s Compliance Officer.
    • Own the relationship with all governing bodies and government agencies
    • Oversee AHF’s Global Trade Compliance program and develop and deploy appropriate strategies to support AHF’s global trade portfolio including:
      • Trade compliance programs (C-TPAT, ISA, PIP, CSA, AEO, Free Trade Programs, Denied Party Screening, Classification, Recordkeeping, FTZ, etc.)
      • Data management systems
      • Lead the Global Trade Compliance Committee to develop common solutions to leverage best practices and achieve effective compliance processes across AHF’s operations
      • Partner with business leaders and serve as SME on risk management strategies related to product portfolio imports and exports
      • Ensure processes are in place to fully support Foreign Trade Agreements, including NAFTA, and the certification process
      • Own the selection and management of service providers including brokers; establish KPIs and performance metrics; own and facilitate business review meetings with service providers; work in tandem with our supply chain compliance contractor to continue to build and maintain a low-risk pool of suppliers and vendors.
      • Identify and drive opportunities to positively impact supply chain cost, efficiency, and cost-savings opportunities for the business (drawback, FTZ, sourcing strategy, free trade programs etc.) while minimizing risk
      • Own and enforce the corporate international trade law policy
      • Own the development and execution of the global trade compliance training programs
      • Assess audit results and implement appropriate corrective actions
      • Work with product, marketing, and legal teams to understand and help ensure full product and lifecycle compliance standards are being met including TSCA, Prop 65, PFAS, and the like
      • Through research, readings, trainings, etc., remain abreast of and communicate compliance laws and issues that impact the flooring industry
      • Draft, publish, and implement policies and procedures that provide guidance and assistance to all employees on matters of trade and compliance
      • Other compliance-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

    TRAVEL:

    • Must be able and willing to travel 20% of the time.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills and proven ability to effectively prioritize initiatives to meet expectations and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly and concisely upward and outside the organization
    • Strong global mindset to interact with foreign suppliers and customers and global operations teams
    • High level of analytical ability, ability to interpret government regulations and translate into impact on business initiatives
    • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office; ability and willingness to learn and implement new software and technologies
    • Strong executive presence, leadership and capable of working with all levels of the organization

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Transportation or other related field
    • Formal training on US Customs Regulations, Export Administration Regulations, Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations and Foreign Trade Regulations
    • 5 years of related import/export compliance experience with knowledge of Importer Self-Assessment, C-TPAT, Certification and validation of Free Trade Programs, Periodic Monthly Statement and Foreign Trade Zone admission and withdrawal processes
    • Experience in managing a global trade compliance portfolio
    • Knowledge of anti-boycott requirements, denied party screening and export license determination
    • Customs Brokerage License
    • Prior management experience
    • Familiarity with Canadian Import/Export laws and regulations
