We are seeking an upbeat, friendly, self-starting, and motivated brand ambassador to join our amazing team.
You will be running a busy booth at large trade show events. This position requires product sampling and sales.
We are a fast growing, family-owned tea company, based in Virginia and we have multiple events around the Country. Our amazing teas do not sell themselves so that's why we need some really great people to join us.
Our events typically take place Friday - Sunday. Having a flexible weekend availability is a must. Some of our events that start on Friday, require a Thursday set up time that you must attend.
This is a part time position. Expect to work between 1 and 3 events per month. Must be available within a 1-2 week scheduling notice.
For this position, you will be responsible for all aspects of running a trade show booth at an event while working alone. You will be transporting a van full of supplies, setting up your booth, preparing carafes of tea for customers to sample, educating consumers, selling an amazing product, breaking down your booth, cleaning your supplies, and filing a post event report by Monday @ 11am.
We are looking for great people who don't mind some hard work to represent our family business. Strong communication skills, genuine kindness / empathy, attention to detail and a passion for sales are a must. You must naturally know how to hustle in a fast paced environment while maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor. We love our customers and we have a lot of loyalty out there. If our customers don't exist, neither do we.
In return for your hard work and dedication, you will have the opportunity to make some excellent money while working for a respected family business.
This position is base pay OR commission-whichever is higher per weekend event. However, this is not a turn and burn or pushy-sales opportunity. We care about the face of our company and who is out there representing our brand. Having a natural ability to calmly and confidently work with the public while moving fast is necessary. You must be able to bend, lift, carry and stand for long hours. Our booths do require physical ability and strength. Our event supplies such as tables, pop up tents and boxes are not light.
Requirements:

- Set up and break down: Must be able to bend, lift and carry 3 tables, 5 bins, an outdoor tent (sometimes) and multiple 30-50lb boxes of product per event.

-Must be able to drive a U-Haul / Sprinter type van.
- Must be clean, tidy and attentive to your booth at all times.
- Must be outgoing, friendly, honest and kind in nature.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to shrug off being told "no" by customers.
- Must have a smartphone with unlimited or high data. Weekends require the use of a square card reader for your sales.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while standing/walking for long durations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills are an absolute must.
- Quick study skills and the natural ability to jump in and help without too much direction.
- Valid driver's license and passing a background check is mandatory- non-negotiable.
- Understanding everything about tea is not necessary but being excited and wanting to learn is.
- If you are a kind hearted, honest, self-motivated, reliable individual who appreciates what we have to offer we would love to hear from you.
- Please send a resume and a cover letter explaining why you are a great candidate to the attached e-mail.
