Entertainment Road Show Company Needs a Leader!
We are an entertainment company (we will let you know the group name when we interview you.)
Who is looking for a Tour/ Road manager. We travel across 50 states throughout the year by road, and you'll be aboard or driving our E450/ E550 shuttle bus.
You must be a people person, can lead a team, someone who has integrity, and has passion towards the art of this job.
We prefer someone who has experience in being on the road. A good fit would be a sound technician that has toured in a band. It is not a requirement though.
We are doing more than 188 shows per year, meaning you'll be on the road a lot. So we think that those who easily gets lonely, bored, or have kids (family) back home is not a good fit for this position.
Job Details:
Driving
You'll be driving most of the time our E450/ E550 hotel shuttle bus depending on the shows routing.
Driving hours varies from 2 hours to 6 hours.
One more crew aboard will help you driving throughout the route.
CDL is not required but it is a plus.
Schedule Management
You're going to receive weekly show schedule from our operations manager, and you have to make sure that the departure and arrival time from one location to another will be on-time.
You'll also receive a monthly overview of the shows to accommodate vacation schedule of the rest of our crew.
Show Management
Advance with the venue owners/ managers the details of the show, such as; the ingress and egress schedule, set-up requirements, seating plan, tickets inventory, and the like.
Ensure all facilities and equipments that will used during the show are all provided by the venue or aboard our hotel shuttle bus, such as but not limited to; PA or sound system, show props, etc.
Help with door management, includes ticket sales and ticket-to-wristband exchange.
Book hotel rooms in between each show for the crew to get enough rest/ sleep.
Inventory Management
Merchandise are being sold on-site for each show. Keep count of all of the merchandise and report if replenishment of stocks is required.
Make sure that ticket inventory does not exceed the permitted venue capacity.
Monitor wrist bands count that is in used in exchange of tickets at the door.
You also have to ensure that all promotional collateral that are leased to the venue are returned after the show.
Crew Management
Make sure everyone is happy.
Manage their schedule for any planned or unplanned leave of absence.
Look after them like a father to them.
It is also important to take note that in the entertainment industry, you'll meet across different sorts of personalities, attitudes, upbringing, etc. -- you must be appropriately professional at all times. You should be able to get along with all types of people, so basically, we really need someone who is a -- people person.
Of course, other reasonable responsibilities will come along the way.
