Nexeo is seeking a Trade Show Carpenter to join a global experience design company that specializes in the design and execution of memorable experiences for companies to share with their customers. Projects include architectural fabrication, brand strategy, and development, retail design and store rollouts, digital engagements, trade show booths, branded events, and environments.
Many of the clients are some of the most well-recognized brands across multiple industry sectors including consumer products, sports and entertainment, telecommunications, and technology.
A Trade Show Carpenter is an individual with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will also have a good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials.
Responsibilities
• Interpret and understand instructions, shop drawings, labels & cut lists.
• Fabrication of high-quality goods from a variety of materials Ex: Solid Woods, Veneers, Plywood, MDF, Particleboard, and plastic laminates.
• Install applicable hardware, including drawer slides, hinges, handles, etc.
• Assembly of CNC provided or manually fabricated parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
• Must Have Carpentry Experience & a Resume to Apply.
• Must Have Experience Reading Blueprints & Shop Drawings.
• Confident and safe operation of a variety of industry-related power tools and hand tools
Desired Experience & Qualifications
• Experience and comfortable with set-up and operation of woodworking machinery such as a table saw, edge-bander, wide belt sander, jointer, planer, etc.
• Experience in laminating with both plastic laminates and solid wood veneers.
• Knowledge of basic woodworking techniques and processes.
• Experience with standard Blum cabinet hardware is preferred.
• Mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do material take-offs and cut lists.
• Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills & Strong attention to detail.
Pay
$22.00 - $28.00 Per Hour
Schedule
6:00am – 2:30pm | Monday – Friday | Possible OT available when production deadlines need to be met
