Job Description
The BAE Systems site in Radford, Virginia is seeking a Senior Quality Analyst.
In this role as a Senior Quality Analyst, you will provide support to the Manufacturing Team while reporting to the QA/QC Manager.- Provide on-the-line quality engineering support, data analysis, preparing product quality documents, assisting in failure investigations, and performing audits;
- Generate internal and external customer required quality documents;
- Perform internal audits of the Quality Management System (QMS);
- Track and report metrics related to the QMS and Product Quality;
- Assist in data analysis for assigned manufacturing area;
- Lead product quality investigations for assigned manufacturing area;
- Work with shipping personnel to ensure appropriate quality documentation accompanies each delivery;
- Ensure completion of corrective actions for assigned manufacturing area;
- Participate in and leads continuous improvement initiatives;
- Review Quotes and Orders.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and four years related experience, or an Associate's Degree and six years experience, or the overall equivalent including:
- Quality auditing;
- Internal Quality Document Review;
- Statistical analysis techniques;
- Root cause failure analysis.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word;
- Able to work with great attention to detail;
- Self-initiative with the ability to work with limited supervision;
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills- Quality Management System (QMS) auditing;
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification as Quality Engineer or Auditor;
- Bachelors in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
- Lean manufacturing;
- Problem-solving techniques;
- Experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment a plus!
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $71600 - $121700
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
