A primary location at one of our Center offices (Lewiston or South Portland) would be required, with flexibility to travel to our other location 2-3x/month for programming and consult needs. All services at the Center are provided at no cost to our clients (we do not bill clients for services).

The ideal individuals will have experience supporting both youth (minors, primarily school aged and older, 5-17 years of age) and parents/guardians, including the collective family unit. Further experience with psychosocial clinical support for those with a chronic condition impact, particularly cancer, is ideal. The program gives teens a chance to challenge themselves and build resiliency while forging strong bonds with other teens who “get it” due to their shared experiences with cancer. It is facilitated by clinical counselors, Dempsey Center staff, trained volunteers, and professional wilderness guides.
