Total Quality Manager manages the implementation, administration and measurement of total quality management programs, including Six Sigma initiatives. Leads teams to provide training, tools, and logistical assistance for quality initiatives. Being a Total Quality Manager oversees development of new testing tools, and measurement methods and systems to ensure products and services meet quality standards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Total Quality Manager typically reports to a senior manager. The Total Quality Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Total Quality Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     • Implement, train, and supervise internal quality audit team

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Obtain, analyze, and coordinates corrective action, on significant deviations from quality standards. Effectively communicates relevant information to the management team.
    • Participates in the review of all design, manufacturing, purchasing, and test documentation & procedures to ensure that the customers' quality requirements are met, both for current and new customers.
    • Strives for continuous improvement in overall defect-reduction, monitors defect-reduction procedure effectiveness, and implements appropriate adjustments.
    • Communicates with customer representative for quality related issues and concerns via email or through customer specific portals. Timely communicates with customers on open or pending actions items.
    • Works with Quality Engineers and production staff to troubleshoot issues on the production floor.
    • Ensures that supplier quality problems are investigated, trends are tracked, and issues resolved so that Vernet is supplied with quality parts.
    • Maintain ISO9001 quality system and complete audits to maintain certification and continuous improvement. Will lead the company through the change to TS16949.
    • Establish and track departmental goals and objectives that provide world-class quality and technical services performance to the organization.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Must be a U.S. citizen
    •  ISO 9001-2015 Lead Auditor / AS9100 Rev D Lead Auditor
    • Proficiency with writing audit plans
    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal communications skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Self-motivated and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
    • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Microsoft Project, and Excel
    • Must be able to read and interpret complex documentation for compliance with procedures, standards, and regulations
    • Skilled at establishing effective working relationships with others and the ability to work within and maintain an effective team environment

    Education and Experience:

    At least two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and Management experience

    Preferred Experience:

    Engineering with inspection skills
