Total Quality Management Senior Manager develops and implements an organization's total quality management strategy with policies, programs, and initiatives.     Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

Reporting to the VP, HR this role will play a key role in defining the Company's approach to compensation, benefits and total rewards for our people. The ideal candidate is someone who cares deeply about designing and maintaining programs that attract, reward and retain the best talent and thrives in coaching and developing a team of HR professionals.

     

    What You’ll Do:

    • Foster and develop a highly effective team of HR professionals to manage and improve our HR processes and ensure we are delivering a great employee experience
    • Mentor and train your team by performing regular check-ins, discussing career growth opportunities, giving constructive feedback, and managing conflict when necessary
    • Manage and oversee compensation, benefits and total rewards programs for Iridium, including base pay, bonuses, incentive plans, and equity
    • Develop and define creative solutions that support and align with corporate objectives
    • Establish, design and maintain reporting to validate effectiveness of strategies; conduct in depth analysis of current programs and recommend and implement new or modified compensation, benefits and total rewards programs to remain competitive
    • Oversee the participation in compensation/benefit surveys, monitor survey data and create benchmarking models to illustrate trends and ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved
    • Lead relationships with external vendors including benefit broker.
    • Serve as the resource to leadership, HR Business Partners, the HR team and the business on all benefits and compensation-related processes, programs and issues;
    • Work collaboratively with the HR business partner, talent acquisition and operations teams to ensure programs meet Iridium’s needs
    • Ensure compliance with various employment laws, EEO regulations, and organizational policies

    Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

    What You’ll Need to Succeed:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related field
    • 10 years of relevant experience in HR, speicalized within benefits and/or compensation
    • Previous management experience
    • Previous experience running an equity program
    • Capable of being a strong motivator and source of direction for your team and role modelling commitment to your team’s goals
    • Have a people-oriented mentality and be able to build meaningful relationships with senior leadership on your team and in other departments
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues clearly and confidently, and recognize and adapt to different communication techniques
    • Be able to analyze and understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions, come up with and evaluate unique solutions, and see those solutions through to completion
    • Be independent and self-motivated and demonstrate a high degree of creativity, flexibility, and resourcefulness
    • Have a strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion and be motivated to achieve outcomes and results
    • Can thrive in a dynamic environment and efficiently manage multiple or complex projects while continuously looking for new and enhanced ways of doing things

    We’ll also need you to:

    • Be able to travel 2 to 4 times a year

    Work Environment:

    This position primarily works in the company office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse and printer. For meetings in-person, this position will need to be able stand, walk within the office and climb stairs on occasion.
