Overall responsibility is achieving acceptable quality levels at the Vehicle Processing Center. Directs all aspects of vehicle related quality matters in conjunction with GLOVIS HQ Quality Control, Port Operations, Vehicle Logistics, Claims Administration, and logistics service providers to ensure compliance with quality goals and objectives on behalf of Hyundai GLOVIS. Provide safe, effective management and direction to the Yard department in regards to vehicle receiving, movements, staging, inventory control, damage control and tendering to meet daily production and shipment requirements.

Responsibilities

Represents Hyundai GLOVIS with customers, relative to all quality matters.
Ensures that SH VPC meets or exceeds customer acceptable quality levels and standards.
Develops and implements a quality system that includes data collection, analysis, measurement, and corrective measures including quality improvement and prevention programs.
Develops metrics and standardized quality reports on a recurring basis to characterize the quality of services and performance.
Develops, implements, and standardizes quality related policies & procedures Motivates and directs quality related personnel at the VPC.
Manage plans and direct vehicle movements in a manner that results in minimal wait time for drivers consolidating movements whenever possible.

Secondary

Works with other Departments to facilitate the efficient movements of units on the yard and the processing of units through the VPC and PIO production area.

Maintain annual certifications for ISO quality management system of the Shreveport site.
Troubleshoots as needed to facilitate the processing of damaged units or priority units requiring special attention.
Develops, implements, and standardizes quality related policies & procedures.

Provides guidance, technical support and feedback to team members on an ongoing basis regarding changing work procedures, safety precautions, etc.
Implements enforcement actions as necessary.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent written and oral communications in English

• Must be able to adapt to change

• Operations management system experience highly preferred

• Must be able to direct work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Database management system experience

• Must possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree Required

• 4 Years of Direct Experience in Manufacturing,Operations, and/or Quality ControlRequired

• 10 Years of Direct Experience in Vehicle Logistics and/or Port Operations Preferred

• Valid Driver's License Required

• 4 Years of Supervisory Experience Required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods

• Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
