Total Quality Management Senior Manager develops and implements an organization's total quality management strategy with policies, programs, and initiatives. Leads cross functional teams to study and develop effective tools, methods, and systems to ensure that the products and services are of the highest quality. Being a Total Quality Management Senior Manager creates standards used to measure quality results and to drive continuous improvements. Utilizes Six Sigma/Lean methodologies.     We're looking for RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening. The right RN should have 2 years or more of recent experience.

    As a Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

    Provide basic bedside care.
    Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients.
    Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology!
    Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
    Able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times.

    This is a high acuity, fast-paced unit that requires teamwork and strong communication skills. First Time Travelers Accepted. Travelers will be expected to float.

    Weekly Gross $2,551.19
    Hourly Rate $ 17.25/hr
    OT Rate $25.88/hr
    Weekly Stipend $1826.63
    Blended rate $70.87/hr
    26 Week contract
    36 hrs/week, 3x12 Rotating (12 hrs)

    **Job Description - Registered Nurse**

    **Position Summary:**

    The Registered Nurse (RN) will work under the direction of the program Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) and within an interdisciplinary team philosophy. The nurse will collaborate with physicians to identify and coordinate patient/family/caregiver home care needs, providing skilled supportive care and maximizing the quality of life for patients, families, and caregivers. The RN will utilize the nursing process to deliver skilled care and comfort, referring and coordinating with other healthcare professionals as needed. The role also involves case management of patient care within the guidelines of various payor sources, California state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and company policies. Additionally, the RN will prepare patients and families for discharge by referring to community resources.

    **Responsibilities:**

    - Collaborate with physicians to identify and coordinate patient/family/caregiver home care needs.
    - Provide skilled supportive care to patients and their families, maximizing their quality of life.
    - Utilize the nursing process to deliver skilled care and comfort to patients.
    - Refer and coordinate with members of a multi-disciplinary team, transferring patients to other levels of care and services as appropriate.
    - Case manage patient care within the guidelines of payor sources, California state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and company policies.
    - Prepare patients and families for discharge by referring to community resources.

    **Qualifications:**

    - Possession of a clean license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
    - Minimum one year of experience as a professional nurse in a medical-surgical facility within the last three years.
    - One to two years of recent home health care experience preferred.
    - Current CPR certification.

    **Required Skills:**

    The candidate must be proficient in the following skills:

    - General dressing changes with aseptic technique.
    - Urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, irrigation, and collecting urine samples.
    - Gastrostomy Tube Care.
    - Infusion: PICC dressing change using sterile technique.
    - Oxygen Concentrator operation.
    - Venipunctures.
    - Colostomy care.
    - Experience with electronic medical records system MyUnity (NetSmart).

    **Additional Information:**

    - The RN will be assigned a base region within Monterey County but may be asked to see patients based on needs anywhere in the agency service area.
    - The schedule has flexible start/stop times. The normal workday is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with rotating weekends.
    - The RN is expected to complete visits for an average of 4-5 patients per day, including planning and charting.
    - Training will be provided as needed, with the expectation of working independently within two weeks.
