Senior Quality Program Manager

  • The Senior Quality Program Manager is a crucial member of the URBN Supply Chain Team. They are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a new quality program that will enhance the logistics network of URBN and ensure that our customers have the best experience possible. The ideal candidate for this position should have relevant experience in inventory control in large-scale E-commerce environments, as well as in wholesale and retail replenishment fulfillment operations. They should also have a continuously improving mindset and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Communication skills are essential, as the Senior Quality Program Manager will need to collaborate with both executives and site leadership and associates to achieve their goals. Being an excellent team player is an essential quality for this position.

    Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

    •  Manage, design, and drive implementation of large-scale Inventory quality programs across multiple fulfillment center types and technologies.
    • Create and communicate meaningful high-level reports to leadership regularly. 
    • Develop and simplify processes and tools to eliminate defect injection across multiple programs.
    • Lead and coordinate execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors focusing on inventory quality improvements.
    • Evaluate issues and propose actionable resolutions to design and execution problems.
    • Measure quality, inventory integrity, and accuracy while providing proactive feedback to the operations management team.
    • Review and analyze customer complaints and any defect data, followed by the development of corresponding action plans to reduce future incidents.
    • Plan for and identify root causes of inventory deviation, via cause-and-effect analysis.
    • Partner with Finance, Brand leaders, Merch control, and operations to further quality initiatives and customer experience.

    Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required:

    •  BS/BA in Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent preferred.
    • Experience with complex MHE and packaging lines or process design based on Lean Manufacturing or Toyota Manufacturing System
    • 5 years of post-college inventory management experience in a fulfillment/distribution center environment. 
    • Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques
    • Superior analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to dive in and quickly understand the root cause and identify scalable solutions.
    • Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills
    • Process-oriented, with high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
    • Ability to travel up to 50%

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
    • Ability to manipulate a keyboard for extended periods
    • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlook Ups, Xlook Ups)
    • Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl
    • Ability to use a computer for extended periods
    • Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
    • Operate warehouse equipment as required for the position (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker) which requires coordinated movements
