The QAA/QAPI Manager is responsible for facilitating the implementation and maintenance of the QAA/QAPI process. The process provides on-going performance improvement and improved outcomes. The QAA/QAPI Manager works with all stakeholders to integrate this process into the services provided.
The QAA/QAPI Manager serves as the coordinator of all departments working to create a just culture for safe reporting, QAA/QAPI activities, PIP’s and process improvements and outcome tracking.

1. Assists the QAA/QAPI Committee in defining a desired future (vision).
2. Facilitates planning to reach that desired state.
3. Supports staff through the stress of organizational transition and assists in with change management.
4. Assists managers and staff to identify root causes of problems, develop and implement action plans that will enhance program/departmental effectiveness. Utilizes the IHI model for improvement for making change.
5. Attends to both the technical issues and human interactions involved in the problem-solving process.
6. Promotes innovation, education and continuous improvement throughout the program.
7. Assists in the building of collaborative relationships with employees throughout the program through QAPI rounds and PIP’s.
8. Trains/coaches employees in interpersonal skills, communication and conflict management.
9. Works toward creating a culture of trust among individuals and groups.
10. Coaches team leaders, facilitators and members in the model for improvement process.
