Total Quality Management Senior Manager develops and implements an organization's total quality management strategy with policies, programs, and initiatives. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Total Quality Management Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Overview

     

    The Supervisor TPM (Total Property Management) manages landscaping service provided to AHRC, NYSID and private customers.  The Supervisor TPM provides direct training, job coaching, supervision, and skill development of the landscaping crew on all assigned tasks, chemicals, and equipment. The Supervisor TPM is responsible for the coordination, procurement, and scheduled use of resources such as labor, equipment, and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget, safety guidelines and quality standards.

     

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, scheduling equipment and customer services. The Supervisor TPM will be responsible for the completion of required documentation, including payroll, incident reports, disciplinary reports etc.

    Responsibilities

    Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limted to:

     

    • Directly oversee the business operations of AHRC’s Landscaping service. Business operations include, but are not limited to, scheduling of work, assuring adequate coverage, and authorizing overtime, in consultation with the Business Manager. 
    • Direct and participate in daily landscape tasks at assigned sites including but not limited to cutting grass, fertilizing, mulching, planting flowers, pulling weeds, pruning, trimming edges, picking up trash, and watering plants.
    • Directly supervise Landscaping team and operations, as needed.
    • Train Team Leaders in landscaping methods, including proper training techniques to be used with program participants/trainees/employees.
    • Ensure cleanliness, and general maintenance of assigned landscape vehicle and equipment.
    • Ensure that safety rules, regulations, and procedures are followed.
    • Develop and maintain excellent customer service with current and potential clients.
    • Visit prospective customers and provide estimates for cost of work.
    • Hire, train, and promote employees within the landscaping team.
    • Purchase and schedule the use of materials needed to provide a high-quality maintenance service for each account.
    • Oversee, implement, assist with, and conduct final inspections of all landscaping projects.
    • Maintain accurate project paperwork, records, and receipts.
    • Must be available to work on weekends and holidays as needed for snow removal.
    • Supervise pesticide applications and submission of required documentation to the State, as applicable.
    • Oversee and check/update daily record of payroll for all employees in the division.
    • Perform additional related duties as requested by supervisor.
    • Drive crew members to different job sites.

     

     

    Qualifications

     

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Qualified NYS Driver's license, must be maintained throughout employment
    • Five (5) years previous landscaping experience and three (3) years supervisory experience with an organization that had a minimum of 10 full-time employees.
    • Pesticide License required or ability to obtain one within ninety (90) days of date of hire, preferred.
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft Suite Applications preferred

    Physical aspects of this position may include but are not limited to lifting up to 50lbs, standing and sitting for long periods of time.
