Overview:

ZAPP Precision Strip is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Analyst - Laboratory Technician to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in conducting research and performing laboratory tests. Your expertise will contribute to the metallurgical testing of new materials to help confirm the improvement of future & existing processes.

Duties:

• Perform metallurgical testing, including, but not limited to:
• tensile testing
• hardness testing
• corrosion testing
• microstructure evaluation
• Sample preparation
• PMI (Positive Material Identification)
• Perform incoming material receipt and verification.
• Cross-reference incoming material certifications system requirements
• Log non-conforming product in company based systems noting appropriate details
• Maintain quality documentation as directed
• Assist in data entry associated with part code or part number creation.
• Author work instructions or job aids for production processes

Qualifications & Requirements:

*Salary range is based upon prior background, education & experience

*Associates degree in quality, engineering, metallurgy, manufacturing systems or equal

*Certified ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 auditor experience a plus; must be able to pass internal auditor exam during training period

*Minimum 3-5 years in manufacturing or quality related position
*SAP knowledge a plus or other ERP system knowledge

*Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
*Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
*Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and present findings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
