Researches competitors and market conditions to develop and maintain risk selection criteria and methods that support sound risk management. Additionally, Top Underwriting Executive requires a bachelor's degree. May require certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). Typically reports to top management. The Top Underwriting Executive manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. The Commercial Lines Key Accounts department is currently seeking an experienced underwriter to actively engage with agents and brokers to manage a book of new and renewal business in the assigned multi-state territory under limited general supervision. This position could reside in home office in the hybrid work model or be field based working out of the home, within the territory.
Pay range: $100,000 - $176,000; depending on knowledge, skills, expertise, and territory.
