The Executive Director, Product Management – Top Load Laundry is a strategic leadership role with both ownership and responsibility for product vision, strategy, multi-generational product planning and program management to deliver profitability for Top Load Clothes Care products. In this role you will lead innovation, development, justification and execution of all Top Load Laundry products, including both hardware and software initiatives. Identify, develop and engage Ecosystem partners that enhance the goals and objectives of the Clothes Care business. This role is analytical and requires strong collaboration between multiple functions including: Technology, SmartHome Solutions, Supply Chain/Operations, Sourcing, Service, Sales & Marketing, Brand, IDO, and Haier teams. While bringing this to life for our product lines, this role must also ensure alignment to our Hoshin and our End-to-End (E2E) financial strategies, ultimately bringing leading innovative products, services and solutions to market. The Executive Director of Top Load Laundry reports to the Vice President of Clothes Care. Position Executive Director, Product Management - Clothes Care, Top Load Location USA, Louisville, KY How You'll Create Possibilities Job Description Own and manage overall profitability and product line performance: Key metrics: Sales, EBIT and Cash. Areas of focus include Sales, Pricing, Share, Mix, Total Product Cost, SCR and key elements of investment deck NPI, MCTO, RTP and COQ. You will be responsible for proactively seeking external industry trend knowledge while also working with the insights team on consumer research to identify required software and hardware product attributes desired by consumer/customer and direct cross-functional efforts to deliver on the requirements. Develop and execute strong innovative brand strategies; and shape the brand architecture to grow GEA leadership in the product segments using the Long Term Planning process, Connected Feature offerings, Modular Architecture Framework, Factory Master Plans. Collaborate with GE Commercial team and customers to develop and execute multi-generation product designs, product plans and new product introductions (NPI). You will lead cross-functional teams including Technology, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Marketing to deliver these NPI programs. Develop financially justified business cases for new products and product enhancements working with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to refine product concept, evaluate its feasibility and communicate to the organization Deliver on key Clothes Care Hoshin metrics, goals and objectives for Top-Load Laundry products. Provide cross-functional leadership of operations, technology, sourcing and integration with marketing and sales to drive product line performance for all key metrics including Sales, EBIT, and Cash. Play a Lead role in the S&OE forecast process and aligning the factories to the market requirements. Build a working relationship with the Hair leadership team as appropriate. Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the Mabe cross functional team . Work with the Mabe and AP1 plant team on development of Factory Master Plans, ensuring funding strategies and integration/optimization with NPI plans. Engage with suppliers at a strategic level, in conjunction with Sourcing team, to drive market leading product innovation/solutions and cost leadership. Work with design, sourcing, IDO and plant operations to implement overall product cost savings. Lead team along with PSI to deliver product availability, hit inventory objectives and effectively manage product transitions. Develop relationships with key customers, and products to help them meet their goals, while driving GEA growth and profitability. Collaborate with Commercial Director to form promotional strategies for key selling holidays to grow share during these windows. Drive high consumer satisfaction through understanding Cost of Quality and Ratings & Review priorities. Support the commercialization process as new products go to market. Lead and execute all product related initiatives, including ownership of Product Nomenclature, Product Information Management, MGPP, MGBP, and Program Management of the pipeline of smart/connected products to deliver leading connected experiences. Sales enablement: communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and work with marketing to develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products. Conduct monthly cross-functional product council sessions to provide a solid financial, commercial, technology and operational overview. Consult with business leadership as needed with regard to process creation, policy reviews, etc. Additional responsibilities as indicated. What You'll Bring to Our Team Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS degree from an accredited university or college Minimum 12 years of Product Management and/or other relevant experience Prior experience working with large strategic suppliers Demonstrated leadership in delivering significant improvements Multi-Generation Product Plans and world-class product quality. Consistently achieves results, hold self and others accountable. Experience in NPI commercialization;  knowledgeable of NPI process Demonstrated strength in cross functional and leadership level communications Results oriented: proven ability to deliver on commitments and follow through with strong influencing skills Builds strong customer relationships and delivers consumer-centric solutions.
