Supply Chain Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process for the organization. This includes sourcing raw materials, managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Establishes and implements purchasing policies, procedures, workflows, and best practices

Monitors ongoing compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
-
Directs procurement policies to ensure items are purchased and delivered within approved budget and time constraints
-
Develop and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain process and reduce costs
-
Manage, improve, and monitor supply chain department performance
-
Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms for raw materials and finished goods
-
Develop and grow strategic supplier relationships
-
Establish, update, and monitor supplier agreements and agreement database
-
Manage and measure supplier performance to include price, quality, support, capacity, and reliability
-
Develop and manage purchasing budgets and forecasts
-
Manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock for production and sales
-
Inventory management and cycle counts
-
Coordinate the transportation of goods to customers, including the selection of carriers and the negotiation of shipping rates
-
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production, to align supply chain activities with business goals
-
Represents the company in a positive and professional manner

Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management
-
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Develops and motivates purchasing staff, manages performance

Directs continuous improvement of purchasing processes in line with changing organizational needs and market conditions

Inventory management and cycle counts

Reviews internal processes to identify improved processes and buying opportunities.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, operations management, or a related field
-
5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong track record of success in driving cost savings and improving efficiency

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Effective negotiating skills

Meticulous “eye” for detail and accuracy

Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills
-
Strong analytical skills and financial acumen

Comprehensive Math skill, proficient in Excel, MS Word

Proficiency with supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP software

Familiarity with Six Sigma and/or Lean principles
