SAIC is looking for you, a Supply Chain Manager, capable of managing a small team on a government contract, consisting of a logistics coordinator, warehouse material handlers, and procurement specialists, in the acquisition of $10M annual buys and subsequent tracking and managing of materials on behalf of the Space Systems Command Innovation and Prototyping Delta in Albuquerque and Colorado Springs. Work is split on-site at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque and at SAIC’s local office within 2 miles of the base – some remote (less than 8 hours a week) can be discussed. Limited travel is required to Colorado Springs – nominally 1 trip per quarter.
In this role you will oversee several task orders on a multi-year IDIQ government contract that supports ground-based space command and control systems, including some elements of government infrastructure at both Kirtland AFB and Schriever SFB in Colorado Springs. You will work within SAIC company procurement standards, military acquisition laws and best practices for fairness and reasonability of taxpayers’ dollars. Expect to work with Task Order Managers, the Configuration Management team and the Lifecycle Manager to track government requirements, assess government and mission partner’s needs and obtain the best value for the customer with current purchasing and future acquisition scheduling of expenditures.
