Job Description

Position: Dispatcher

Reports to: Flatbed Operations Manager

Overview:

• Assist Senior Dispatcher in creating truck routes that meet customer scheduling needs. Serves as liaison between drivers and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor onboard systems and track driver progress
• Act as a communication liaison through onboard messaging and incoming phone calls from drivers on the road
• Assist drivers on daily basis with directions, breakdowns, complaints, truck service, and other issues/concerns that come up
• Monitor driver HOS to ensure drivers have legal hours to operate
• Add loads to driver trips as necessary
• Provide backfill for other positions in dispatch office
• Backhaul invoicing
• Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers

Qualifications:

• Experience/ Education:
• 1-year experience in transportation/logistics of forest products

and/or completion of Transportation/ Supply Chain related degree program

• Core Competencies:
• Understanding of FMCSA regulations
• Leadership
• Excellent communication skills, writing, verbally and electronically
• Ability to multi-task

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
